I got an e-mail from a guy who runs a Website named Modelzrus.com and he asked if I would become a judge for model contests - each contest involves voting for a model with the best "parts" - hair, legs, etc., - each contest is for a different "part". And - that's it. The quality of the Website isn't up to the quality of the photographs of the models, so I'm concerned that copyrighted material may be being used without permission - has anyone else heard of this contest series?
Got the same email a week or so ago, Mike. Not sure if it's legit or what. I did a fast glance at the site, decided to take a pass on the invitation and dropped the email in the trash.
My first thought on receiving his email is that he went through the GG site fishing for addresses and is trying to drum up traffic for his site. I don't know that I'd consider his email SPAM, but it certainly qualified as junk mail. It was filed appropriately. One of the beautiful things my email client allows me to do is to bounce a message back to the sender as undeliverable. Kind of a "Return to sender, address unknown. No such number, no such phone."
I got the invite as well, and trashed it as well. I wonder what exactly qualified me to be a judge? Usually I only get to judge a beauty contest when I flip over the right "Community Chest" or "Chance" card while playing Monopoly.
I participated in this for about four months about a year ago when he started this thing and I think he gets the images from the models that participate. It got old and the web site was poorly designed with long load times for the "models" on his site, and I have a cable connection. I quit voting and stopped getting e-mails. When I got his latest invitation, it went straight to the recycle bin.
