I dont understand the contest ranks.... no matter how I add the numbers up... it isnt coming out to what is on the standing page. Is there some magic formula that I dont get? I understand that lifers votes count 3x but the numbers still arent as high as some of the ones on the ranking page even if you add up all of their points and multiply the whole score by three.... how does this thing work? not that it matters a whole lot.. it just dawned on me and I had to ask.
BTW, hope everyone is having an awsome weekend! Cant wait to see the new images from the Desting Shoot when you guys get back! I got some really fabulous images from the Lancaster shoot!
its a very simple formula that everyone can figure out.
vote standing=number of votes X number of guest appearances on GG where the breasts are showing (1 pt for side of breast, 2 pts for front of breasts, 4 points for entire nipple front show) X number of times for pubic area exposure (1 pt for sideways glance, 2 pts for entire thing showing with a landing strip, 3 pts for entire thing showing but shaved as bare as a 14 yo) X amount of make-up applied X the ratio of how much clothing was worn before the shoot/how much she is wearing now divided by how many posts the photographer who shot the image has made in the last 6 months with a tangent of .5% added for every time the contestant has made nice comments about other photographers work which really sucks but its cool cause it just is that way.
Thanks Glenn... That clears it up so well, i had an idea that was how it worked!! and now I am rolling, what a hoo hoo hoot!! LOL! Love it! Thank you for that !
I believe you multiply the number of votes for each ranking times the rank number (1-10). So suppose a model has only 2 votes and they are 10s and are from lifers. That would be worth 60 points (2 * 10 * 3). You do the same thing for each ranking for a model and add them up for each model. But you can't calculate it by looking at the standings values because you don't know which votes beside a rank are from lifers, etc. But the votes look reasonable to me based on the above forumala. Does this make sense?
It should make sense... but that would mean that the 1st place person would have a max point value of 891 assuming that every single vote was from a lifer and multiplied by 3 (this was as of 7:30pm today) I am ONLY USING THIS AS AN EXAMPLE!! Nothing should be implied or construed as negative.. I only am interested in How this works...
But I like Glenns reply the best!! LOL
Here is the numbers for the 1st place person:
1pt = 13 votes = 13 points = lifers (all) = 39 points
2pt = 1 votes = 2 points = lifers (all) = 6 points
3pt = 4 votes = 12 points = lifers (all) = 36 points
4pt = 4 votes = 16 points = lifers (all) = 48 points
5pt = 4 votes = 20 points = lifers (all) = 60 points
6pt = 1 votes = 6 points = lifers (all) = 18 points
7pt = 6 votes = 42 points = lifers (all) =126 points
8pt = 4 votes = 32 points = lifers (all) = 96 points
9pt = 6 votes = 54 points = lifers (all) =162 points
10pt =10 votes =100 points = lifers (all) =300 points
which ='s min of 297 and a max of 891 points.
Yet it shows her total as 2164
I MUST be doing this wrong.

I don't know where you've got your figures from. The current first place contestant for November has 70 beside the ranking of 10. I read that has 70 votes that gave her a rank of 10. Let's assume they were all from lifers. Then the total score for just the rank of 10 would be (71*10*3) or 2130.
I took the 71 from beside the 10, multipled it by 3 and then multiplied that by 10 (the rank). Now I may not be totally accurate in how its done since I'm just guessing, but my guess will produce scores that are about what we are seeing.
That explains it!! Sheesh how embarrassing! LOL! Sorry folks!
