UNBELIEVABLE!

The most massive evacutation that has ever occurred on US soil.
I'm in San Antonio right now so I will not be in a position
to be on the web that often.... but the experience was amazing.
It was wise to evacuate,,, better safe than sorry.

Could things have been done better? Of course, but you cannot
know where to improve until things are "battle tested."

I agree! Had friends come from Galveston to Houston (Montgomery) and took them 26 hours! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Took my uncle 41 hours from Beaumont to Dallas... it was crazy. Hell, it took us almost 6 hrs to get from Austin to home, which is usually 1.5 hrs. Ridiculous, but necessary. Maybe next time it will be better. Glad you're in town, and let me see what I can do about meeting up with you. How long will you be here??

I'll be in town for a couple of days.... maybe till tuesday---
depends on the traffic into houston (Check PM for details.)
Right now, there is no gas to be had in town at all.....
And probably no gas in the immediate 150-200 mile area.

Yeah I know, it's crazy...
We're sposed to be going to Houston tomorrow but with the gas situation, it doesn't look like it will happen... guess I'll go when everything is cleared up. I'll call you later today or maybe tomorrow morning to let you know what I can do [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
