Breakin\' da funk... multiple images

I've been in kind of a funk recently... cataract surgery, models who play at modeling, and the hurricane disaster have left me feeling tired and down...

So I decided to shoot with a real professional, try stuff I've never done before, and see if I could get some enthusiasm back. It worked...

The model is Coral, she showed up on time, was prepared, and proved to be a great delight to work with. Here's some of what we did. By the way, all the color is gels stuck on the Alien Bees, only minimal PS done on these.

Coral is traveling extensively around the east coast for the next few months. If you'd like top work with her, take a look at her itinerary on that other place, #4634. Check if she going to be near you, she may have some openings yet and does check her email frequently. You won't regret it.

Hi,

She looks great with all the colors. I hope everything is ok with you after the storm and all. So what camera do you use for those shots with Coral ?

Response to Mike...

First, let me emphasize that I am not in a hurricane affected area, nor do I have relatives or friends there. It's just the human tragedy and the significant breakdown of the state and federal response that's left me down. Too much National Public Radio I guess...

The Camera is a Fuji S2 with a cheapy 28-200 Tamron zoom lens. Lighting is usually an Alien Bee's B800 in a 30 by 40 softbox and a B400 with 7 inch reflector and colored gels for the background. The blue shot is just the B400 with a gel. In the yellow shot, the background Bee was cranked up way high, and the softbox provided mainly fill.

Let me add on more comment for my fellow amateur shooters... You don't need a big studio with lots of space. Most of these were done in my apartment living room, the blue one was done using the nightstand in the bedroom.
