I recieved an [censored] referal from an artist out of N.Y. named Kenneth Hari. I googled him and he is all over the place as a visionary, wonderful artist, inspirational, etc... Just wondering if anybody has heard of this man and if so what they have heard. Appreciate anything.

Nope, but he probably saw your image with those great, big eyes of yours.
Don't you love it when the GG censor scans your message with an innocent mention of the source of the inquiry. You would think we were back during the time of WWII censoring.
Nope, never heard of him, but I'd like to be a "Visionary" that's a cool title to have. BTW, use the number "zero" instead of a real "O" and it looks like this: 0MP (cool huh?)
I am not sure why a person would loose interest in working with a model if she does her homework and checks someones references, past work, etc. Just because someone is all over the net does not mean anything. I know of well known, so called "professional" photographers who are all over the net that I would not recommend any model to work with after seeing what they are like behind the scenes.
Anthony Fredrick was also all over the internet and now he has been convicted of murdering a model.
If a person can not provide a model with references, etc. in their initial contact, then a "smart model" will do her homework. If the person decides not to work with that model because she did what she was supposed to do than maybe its not worth working with them.
Just my 2 cents
while i understand your point, and how important it is to protect models, the case in point you mentioned is proof that asking around does not always get you what you need to know. Look at the case in Philly, after the murder, everyone comes out of the woodwork and tells how bad the guy was. Nobody posted a thing beforehand.
My point is that with people that are nationally known, many times, they will be put off by someone asking about them in an open post on the net.
You make a very good point as well. Its never 100% certain. But by asking around the model can maybe atleast raise that percentage or get a better gut feeling verses not asking around at all.
And as far as the nationally known photographer getting upset or put off by something like that... I say "get off your high horse"!!
Even nationally known photographers can be unprofessional.
THanks everyone for the great feedback. I will keep it in consideration if I do hear back from him. Anyone else out there that can offer additional information I would appreciate it.
