JT & Rick,

What do you think of this image as far as contrast & color. I'd also like to know how you feel about it as a headshot.

Anyone else is also welcome to post input as well.

Model: Wendi Meece

What bothers me the most is the breast shadow and I would like to see your light source a little higher to place that catch light higher in the iris.

You can probably go a little more in contrast but not much.

Just at looking at it on my monitor with my eyes I see blue in the highlights. Skin tones are nice and warm and will probably go warmer with a deeper contrast.

Maybe I would made a different cropping. I think you shouldnt left that big space under her face to her breast. (As JT said) This is a headshot. I would made a crop closer to her face and a little left maybe to appear only her (from my viewpoint) left hand.

(model-Natalyah/Steel agency, phtg-Wayne Scelsky, makeup/hair/styling-Candace Corey)

If I may, I would like to comment on the makeup. The brows and eyeliner is to heavy. And the lenght of her lashes is too long....assuming they are false.

Have her soften up on the makeup even if she is using black, but blending it. This will bring more of the focus on her.

Just a sugestion.

Another Wendy but no stranger to JT and Rick. Hair and makeup by the wonderful Candace Corey.

Thanks. The lashes are indeed false. I'm still learning the makeup end, so I kinda have to trust what folks do for me. I really like what she did, but I can understand where you're coming from as well.

Thanks man I really appreciate your input. I'll be shooting with Wendi quite a bit over the next few weeks/months and will try that and see what I get. I'll consider it a homework assignment.

If you do another hands in the hair pose stagger the hands on each side. One higher then the other. This will relax the "I have a headache pose".

Mike,

In my opinion the hair "look" is a strong point of your image and the hands, of course, cover part of it. Also, I'm not a big fan of seeing hot spots on the face and there are several (forehead, cheek, upper lip, chin, nose bridge and nose tip). If it were my shoot, I would have the NUA do the powder thing. Lastly, the main light seems low to me and maybe that is the reason for JT's note on the breast shadow.

Lovely model, good focus and color.

Jim
