I remember helping an agency hire and book models...I got so tired of girl after girl coming in saying she wants to be a supermodel. But I look at her, the way she carries herself (slouching drives me nuts!) and then her "port"....I often felt like screaming. I really had to control what I said. You just lose patience with these people in the real world after a while-I mean they are 4'11" and look like Woody Allen in a wig, but they want to do fashion...I felt like asking...are they blind or stupid...or both! I can see why things get harsh with agencies, they just lose patience. But GG is different, not all of these people wnat to enter the real world of photography or modeling. So we can't treat them as if they all do. If they are brave enough to go into an agency, they will find out Even Cindy Crawford was rejected by agencies before Elite signed her (I think it was Elite...) No one just walks in their first time and hears all positive. But like I said GG isn't really the real world. It's a site geared towards helping people progress in whatever direction they choose to go in.

How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

Lots of good advice here I am a newbie to GG and although I do not post alot here I do read alot trying to learn as much as I can for that one day I can quit my job and do this full time my biggest problem now is finding models to pose for me for free or TFCD. For now I am content doing landscape photography.

Thanks for the advice.

it's all landscape photography: some of its made up of dirt and shrubbery, others made up of flesh and bone.

Never thought of it that way....Nice way of looking at it though just different kind of scenery. Well I would like to try the flesh and bone kind too.

Dude, please post your real world advice me anytime you like. I take it a lot better if you substantiate it. But since I asked for it, I understand I may not like.
