Arrrrrgh! As per usual, every step forward shows an order of magnitude more steps to take... As y'all may know, I'm an actual, honest-to-goodness starving artist, making corsetry, leather goods and clothing for what I laughingly call a "living"...
DarkLeather is the website for my work. I became a "real" photographer almost completely by accident, since it's surprisingly difficult to find a photographer who can display Goth, Rennaisance, and alt clothing and leather in a coherent way. (Go figure!) And prohibitively expensive to get one to shoot every week or so as new items get designed and made...
The more I shot, the more I got embroiled in the nuts and bolts of photography, until I reached my current state of fairly consistant competence. Having gotten this far, I don't see any point in stopping...
I've finally got some backing for DarkLeather, and I have got a bunch of materials and product made. I even have a tent and display for the shows I'm starting to attend. Yay me! Here's where y'all come in:
What I don't have is equipment for the photography side of my nascent business, and I certainly don't have the spare money to buy it. But I DO have a large amount of bartering fodder available to me. So any of y'all who are in the process of upgrading equipment, I am very interested in bartering for your older gear. I need lighting of all descriptions, and Canon lenses for my lonely little Rebel XT, preferably primes, and reasonably fast.
I'm offering anything on
DarkLeather, or custom work of any sort involving corsetry, leather (either tooled or more conventional BDSM/Fetish gear) or clothing of any description. Heck, if it has to do with corsets, leather, or cloth, I'm willing to take a swing at it... We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming!
