Just would like everyone's feedback on the new design. Keep in mind, lots still to do, like zip code searching, which is coming, tags or the ability for your buddies to "tag" your member's profile. More, including notifications of new photogs, models in your area, etc., so stay tuned. For now, let me know what you like about the new design navigation, etc. Thanks, rg sends!
I am still checking everything out but like it all so far. Just got done looking at the new book section and really like that, since I do tend to read a lot.
I am not sure what the main page looks like yet. I may be missing something there.
I find the navigation to be anything but intuitive. Using the browser back button does not work well. There is too much loading on each page. (My browser makes a small sound when something new loads, and the pages are loading something new periodicially just sitting there in addition to whatever is loading when you open the page.)
Most forums I read are set up so that the browser back and forward buttons work. This makes moving around easier. I'd usggest looking at what is loading when you open a page and change it so the buttons acutally work. (Yes, you can use the back button but it takes several rapid clicks to actually go back a single page, and then you can't go back forward again.)
That said, there are some things that look pretty interesting. Once I've had 24 hours to poke into the nooks and crannies I will be much better prepared to comment.
First impression is good though.

We know of the back button issue on the browser, we're working on getting that fixed, it's on the list. Believe it or not, it's not an issue with Macs on Safari or Firefox (grin) Thanks, rg.
It's like anything else. I am sure you will hear all kinds of thoughts with the change, but let me just say that once this gets in place and all your hard work and ideas come to light, everyone will enjoy it.
I just uploaded my first portfolio image. I have been trying to figure that out before and now I am in.
I spent some time trying to figure things out and basically while you are still tweaking it, it's hard to give a critique but I can see where it will be wonderful. I do like the design. I think it will be easily navigatable and participants will enjoy the new look, design and updated features. I like simple and I feel you have designed it simple with much more options to consider that everyone will just need to be patient. We just need some time and I encourage everyone to spend some time simply getting used to the new look. I think everyone will find it much better.
I didn't get any work done before while visiting GG so now G1 is here with the arcade games, I can see my friends and colleagues wanting to beat me in a game of Space Invaders before the night ends....so much for my resolution of getting my cd's out in a timely manner again!
RG, I know you are busting your butt on this and I just wanted to say it goes appreciated.
