I think it will take some time to get used to, but, that was the case for me on the last one. All in all, I do like it.

I really like it! It's got more features so I expect the slight learning curve but hey, nothing different than buying a new camera body. Zipcode searches will be nice. If you need the sql formula/statement for determining radial distance from a zipcode-latitude-longitude database let me know. I've installed mine on many systems.

Well I do not know where you are going ?? Are forums to be the key subject,
or Picture viewing like PBase or is it to be tagyour it like MM Or Chat like instant
message.

The images I loaded just now did not go in to groups by type so what was all the
time wasted selecting a type for to start with. Why not suck in a zip file with
all the images for a folder at one time be model or type or new images.

What dose games and music have to do with Glamour? and Zodac signs?
So far I can see no Pro use for the sight.

Thanks for your feedback. GG was never for pro's only, nor will G1 be. The whole idea is to put the "glamour back in photography" and not just glamour.

The concept on the latest add on's, give you time to enjoy as well as a time to relex, hence the arcade--this is a community, and all communities have R&R as well as other benefits.

On the images, we're still tweaking as we learn and go, not sure what happened in your case, but when you upload, you can place an image in put to three categories, including your master portfolio. When some one clicks on your gallery link, they will see your images only. We are working on making links that point to your gallery, such as on the forum legend where your name is and your profile.

The profile is an area for folks to know you better, we're not trying to be like anyone, just give everyone a chance to network and mingle too, networking is so important in this field.

So in a nutshell, you have an interactive forum, as always, photo tips, books, reviews, classifieds, a place to play (arcade), your own expanded profile not just a bio (network) and soon much more including zip code searching in your profiles, portfolios, etc., plus more. This is a community, not a place to dump images in portfolios only, the idea is, the more traffic to view your images, the better, and the more we have to offer, the more people will come and see them. Think community.

Thanks again for your feedback, rg sends!

You need to screen the images by file size to stop duplicates from loading in the
same portfolios or just over wright them.

Where dose the rating in the first colum come from?

Is it a race to see how many images you can load, or is it quality.

The Page size seems to change some times all the thumbs show then only 3 and 1/2 show.and you have to use the bottom slider it may be my 36' monitor lol

Hey Rolando,

I just got on and am still getting used to it. It will take time but I think it will be fine.

I think it will definitely take some getting used to, but... It should be okay eventually.
I must say that at this particular moment, I like the old GG better, but once things are tweaked, re-learned, etc. this should be fine.

Question, though - (keep in mind, it's late, I'm tired, and I have a headache so it might be me) - is there a direct link to view my G1 portfolio, like the "my portfolio" link on GG, or a direct URL to give someone to view it? I can't seem to find it right now if there is...

Thanks rg!

Taylor

Well.. I must say... IT is different than GG.. but I like the look so far.. am just looking around.. not sure if I uploaded a few images right.. seems like it takes more to upload here than on GG. Not sure where to "categorize" certain images.. they seem to fall in-between. like a lingerie shot.. isnt nude.. but ...

Great job Rolando.. now if I can figure out the rest...

OH.. and JT.. you dont HAVE to play the games.. LOL..

RG...the new look will take some getting used to. Personally I like it and as the kinks get ironed out I think most will adapt to it . Just a couple of comments:

In viewing thumbnails in a "portfolio"...When you click on a thumbnail, the photo expands to a larger image...however, many times the image is very compressed...I then have to click on the larger image (the one the thumb just expanded too) and it will expand even more and lose the compression. So it seems you have to click the image twice...once to expand the thumb...then again to lose the compression. On your images in your port, you only have to click the thumb once and the full size NON COMPRESSED mage seems to open just fine, while on others it appears one must open it twice....

I think my biggest concern is this...and I am struggling with this issue on the site I own www.thehoustonimage.com

There seems to be NO WAY to reply to an INDIVIDUAL post. Example...lets say you start a thread posting a photo from a workshop....then JT Smith responds to your post....I have no way of responding to JT SMITHS reply....I can only respond to the entire thread. The problem that creates is I set notifications to email me on my individual post and now I will get an email ANYTIME someone replies to a post, even if the reply was intended for John Doe photog or model. I have been trying to correct this on my forum as well and there seems to be no way to reply to an individual post within a thread. I hope this is clear...

The new look will rock...call me if you get a minute...especially if my post is unclear, plus I need to talk to you about another matter...
