It's different from the last one ... which was different from the one before that, so I'm sure we'll get accustomed to it fast enough. Lots to go through, so way too early for me to make a valid observation about the new place -- but on first blush I'm liking it!
Uploaded an image just to check things and it went up smoothly and looked good.
Tried to send a PM and realized that my Sent and Received folder were stuffed with old messages (so had to clear those out to be under the 250 limit and be able to do send anything new).
Keep losing connection to this message field as the site refreshes (about every 20-30 seconds?) -- which is the only major drag I've encountered.
Looks promising overall.
Thanks for the hard work in setting all this up!!!
Dave

Thanks.

One other thing.... How about a portfolio catagory of "Other" for all of the non-people stuff that we all tend to post from time to time? (Or did you intend that to go under Editorial?)

Thanks.

So far, it's pretty cool. It will obviously take some time to figure out all the new features, but I like the clean, simple look.

Seems like when I bring up a thread though it is slow initially, but then it loads fine.

One problem I have noticed - when I bring up a thread to read, if I hit the down arrow key as one way to scroll down the page, that instance of IE crashes. I know you can use the down arrow because I use it on the other pages, other websites and even GarageGlamour. Since I know it does it, as long as I remember to scroll vice using the down arrow, then everything is fine

What is causing all the clicking when the page loads?

I like the forums but I think the portfolio system is needlessly complicated.

I like the speed thus far...I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.1. No "back" button issues. However, I was reading a post and at the end of the post there was no way to reply to the post. Not sure what's up with that. I went back a second time and mysteriously, the "post a reply" option was now available.

I really hope that we don't have to have useless bulls**t on the home page, like horoscopes and such. Let's just keep it a glamour site and skip the friggin' fluff like that. I hate having the site clogged up with all kinds of pernicious blather like that.

All things being equal, it looks like this is going to work pretty well. I haven't tried to upload any images to my portfolio yet, nor have I tried posting a photo but I'll be getting to that soon enough.

I look forward to seeing the site develop and become more refined. Thanks for your efforts, Rolando, and everyone else who is making this site a success.

Good day!

Mike

What's up with the "Arcade" options? Are we going to have glamour games now too???

I am liking the new look. While everyone dislikes change this is definately for the good. I have checked all links and have had no problems with anything. Images uploads are easy and provide lots of options.

Thanks for all your hard work.
