One of four prints I entered in an exhibit in July. All 4 hung in the exhibit, but the most important thing was I enjoyed the challenge of creating something again.

Lovely image. Looks almost like a painting. Love the water.

Very nicely done. Is this what they call an HDR?

Re: Hugo Dam- Oklahoma
Thanks to you both for the comments. I had to look up the definition of HDR, so the answer would be no..... just a lot of Photoshop using different techniques. However, after reading up on HDR, that will be something I need to try next time.

I have posted the original shot, and as you can see it was a very dull. dreary day. That is one thing I really appreciate about digital. I used film for over 30 years, and whenever I would travel, I would photograph something interesting, only to see the bland results later on the negative; even thought the exposure would be correct, and I might use different filters, this sort of result could never really be achieved unless I spent hours in the darkroom. Sometimes that would not work.

Thanks again.

...edit.. Just in case anyone noticed.. this is the previous shot from the one posted originally. I see my angle was slightly different, but the exposure was the same on both. I didn't want anyone to think I added the extra water "spout" on the right.

I was traveling with an old Olympus E10 on this trip. Shot at ISO160, f7.1, 1/80 sec.

Your final result is very cool indeed. It was certainly worthy of being exhibited.
