help with over saturated colors....

Not sure if this is the right forum for this request or not, but here goes...
the following image was shot at 1/2500 @3.5 aperture priority, white balance..cloudy ISO 200..color mode sRGB on A Nikon D100 with a 70 200 2.8 VR lens. My question how come the red swimsuit is so over saturated with no detail and how can I prevent it and how can I correct it?
