PS Cropping Question

I would like to save different aspects of the same shot in a single PSD file (e.g. full size, 8x10 crop, 5x7 crop) without having to create a separate version of the file. Do any of you do this? If so, how do you do it? Should I use mask layers as guides then just crop and print without saving or is there some other tool in PS that will allow me to save this information without saving several different versions of the file?

In case you couldn't tell, I'm as adept at PS as a pig is at flying.
