The images below are from a shoot a while ago, when I knew even less about lighting than I do now [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img], I hated the shadows, the underexposure, all of it, but for the awesome beauty trapped inside a crappy shot, so I couldn't let go. I've tried a lot of different approaches in PS on this shot. My final result posted here, using the magic wand I extracted the background and lightened it in levels mode, softened the "cut" line with the smudge tool, adjusted the levels for the whole image, and dropped a soft diffuse glow on the image. I used the crop tool to change the model's posture on the pose and tighten up the image. Sure would be interested in your critques on my work, and feel free to have at it yourselves.
