Ok, here's the image of Lindsey from my latest
"Glamour, Beauty & the Nude" workshop down in Atlanta.
You can see for yourself why Lindsey will be down in Cozumel later this year, but for now, you can also see the original image and the way I changed it in post. Use the bottom image for your work on it.
I basically used the
Snapshots technique found in our photo tips section here on GG for the entire image--total time, maybe two minutes.
Snapshots used were the obvious color change to yellow for ballons, levels, gaussian blur for skin, copy of her right eye to fix the left (smaller) eye, unsharp mask, and notice the color of the copyright stamp--a good layout and design principal is to use a color from the image itself, just like magazines do for headlines.
Keep in mind too, the model's clothes and the color of the ballon are the exact opposite of cooler blue color--this too is common practice, have your model were different contrasting colors, if your background is cool, like in this photo, you have her wear warm colored clothes.
