It's simple math guys....... Prices are based on market speculation and are worldwide prices. Trust me, the price to pull the crap out of the ground has not doubled in a year.

Bush lifted the Presidential Moratorium and the price dropped. Hmmmm. Does that tell anybody something? If the idiots in Congress would just give an up or down vote on the Congressional Moratorium it would be lifted. So certain members (Nancy P.) don't allow the vote because it would mean the other party is right. God forbid we do what's right for the people that pay the damned salary! If it's (Congressional Moratorium) lifted, what do you think will happen to prices? They'll go down. Drastically. Why?......

Google "Dakota Oil" you'll a huge number of hits that talk about deposits found that range from 100 Billion to 500 Billion (yes, that's a "B") barrells. To give you perspective, assuming it's just 250 Billion. That's over 30 years of crude at our current consumption rate of 20 Million barrels a day. Keep that in mind for just a minute..... that does not include crude from California, Florida, Alaska or ANY OTHER NATION. It also does not include shale oil. If you use only 5 million a day and leave the rest coming from overseas, as it is now, the Dakota deposits could potentially give us crude for 125 years & we would cut our foreign dependence from 70% to 50%.

Call me stupid, but considering the automobile has not been around for that long, I am pretty sure we'll figure out how to make a car run on piss in 125 years.

I am all for alternatives..... I am also a realist, even if we find the magic bullet do you have any idea how long it will take to change the infra structure?!?!?!?!?!

It's elementary school economics.... you have a lot of something...... prices goes down. Have a little, it's more expensive. We'll see $3.25 to $3.50 gas by year's end.

This is not Republican vs. Democrat. This is common sense vs. .... well you can figure what I would compare it too....... lol
