A few years back I lost a nice film camera kit when a canoe capsized. I remember at the time the insurance guy made a big deal if I was sure the canoe capsized or if it just sunk. I guess I must have said the right thing because I was able to buy my first D30 with the settlement. I am sorry about your loss. Good cameras and lenses are more then just tools to me. I really become attached to them and hate to mess them up.
