Sure. You can set up and shoot any product for practice, however you like.
You just can't show those shots to anyone without a certain degree of risk.
Ever.
If you want shots to show, for example, to prospective clients, then you've got to be concerned with copyright issues. You'd probably be best to use containers from "generic" store brands, possibly even removing those labels. While that's probably extreme, but it is safe.
Logically (but not necessarily legally), you should be able to use any image in an artistic creation, and it's my understanding that the courts tend to favor the artistists in such issues. However, you've got to ask whether what you're doing is clearly "art" with no commercial aspect. Why not use food and produce shots, or wine in glass, or (costume) jewelry, etc., if you're concerned with these issues.
